Isabel Silva is a craft artist who has lived in Odemira since 2010. She created the "Artesã d'Estórias" project where she fuses handicrafts, creative sewing, felted wool, paper pulp, weaving and other plastic expression techniques to create sets, props and characters. She has a small flock of sheep, is a member of CACO and the "Arco do Tempo" Association and has a YouTube channel - @artesadestorias - where she shares her creative processes. At the exhibition where she will be showing her work, Isabel Silva will be leading a Creative Workshop "Christmas Decorations" between 5pm and 6.30pm, for those who wish to register on site. Participants in this needle felting workshop will create Christmas decorations using the Needlefelting technique. Participation in the workshop requires a contribution of 5 euros and is open to adults and children. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants keep their pieces.

Gulodices on the wall On the 11th, we also inaugurated the exhibition by Philippe Peseux and Charlotte, a sweet partnership that extends the Christmas spirit and fills Mirabolante with color, light and delicacy. Philippe Peseux, a French painter based in Odemira since 2007, has developed a career marked by different phases and languages - from long series dedicated to the Alentejo landscape, in particular the cork oaks, to the current sweet natures, where fruit, flowers, cakes and objects take on an almost dreamlike dimension. his painting privileges color, sensation and atmosphere rather than literal description, creating images that evoke memory, visual pleasure and an intimate connection to the land. In dialogue with Charlotte, this exhibition transforms the space into a sensory celebration, inviting the public to enter a universe where art meets sweetness and contemplation. Sementes de Dissidência (Seeds of Dissent) is a project by Sílvia das Fadas, in partnership with the Antígona publishing house, which combines art, critical thinking and political memory, paying attention to stories that reveal silent forms of resistance. The book The Little Communist Who Never Smiled tells the story of Nádia Comaneci, the Romanian gymnast who became a symbol of sporting perfection in a communist regime. Starting from her childhood and the control exercised over her body and image, the book raises questions about discipline, power, propaganda and freedom. The presentation will feature Vera Mantero, Nádia Torres and Sílvia das Fadas and will be the last event of the year at Mirabolante, closing the program with a conversation between art, the body and politics.
