  Zambujeira Bodyboard Festival

  The festival begins on October 3 with an environmental awareness activity aimed at children and teenagers, organized by the Co-Management Commission of the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park (PNSACV). The initiative aims to bring young people closer to their natural heritage by promoting knowledge of and appreciation for coastal ecosystems and raising awareness of the importance of preserving both the land and the sea. On October 4, the program continues into the evening with a concert by the sea. Freddy Locks, Gringos Paradise, No Time To Waste, Terrakota, and Nubai Soundsystem are on the lineup for a night that wraps up the 3rd edition of the Zambujeira Bodyboard Festival. The Zambujeira Bodyboard Festival is organized by the Zambujeira do Mar Bodyboard Club, in partnership with the Municipality of Odemira and with the support of the São Teotónio Parish Council. The initiative aims to strengthen the connection between the community, bodyboarding, culture, and the natural heritage of Zambujeira do Mar, bringing together different generations around a program that combines sports, the environment, and music.

  Seven Suns, Seven Moons Festival: luso 7sóis-26 (Cape Verde, Réunion, Italy, Morocco, Portugal)

  Luso 7sóis-26 (Cape Verde, La Réunion, Italy, Morocco, Portugal) Concert presented with the support of DG Artes This original production by the sssl Festival features six renowned artists from a wide variety of musical cultures rooted in the countries of the Sete Só. The diverse spirits of the Mediterranean and the Portuguese-speaking world come together in this orchestra: artists from La Réunion, Italy, Portugal, Morocco, and Cape Verde. The repertoire of Luso 7Sóis-26 blends traditional songs, original compositions, and new arrangements from these various countries. A long and fascinating journey that explores Portuguese folk music with accordionist Hugo Osga and Fado singer Beatriz Felício; the rhythms of southern Italy under the musical direction of bouzouki player Stefano Saletti; Cape Verdean melodies with Hernani Almeida on bass, Moroccan harmonies with oud player Hamza Bouklifi, and percussion from the island of La Réunion performed by musician Sami Pageaux.   Benefit Party - “Zambujeira Bodyboard Festival 2026”

  On Friday, August 14, there will be a party at the nbzm headquarters! This party is also meant to help us raise some extra money to cover the expenses we’ll have for the “Zambujeira Bodyboard Festival 2026”! Everyone is invited to come, and bring your friends! The lineup will be well worth it... We’ll have live music featuring Zairo (hip-hop) and California Reggae Movement (acoustic covers: Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, Bob Marley, etc.)... Then the music continues with DJs...! Starting with an “Open Deck” set with a reggae/hip-hop vibe... And then moving on to electronic music, featuring Xitãozinho and Natal Carnaval. Admission is free, but you can support the club by buying from our bar, where we’ll have drinks and snacks available for everyone, as well as club merchandise! Spread the word and come on by!
