  Fados às Quartas - November 19th | 8:30pm Mercearia 27 welcomes Sofia Pires (@sofiamargalhap), a young fado singer from Vidigueira, Alentejo, who has won over audiences and judges with the strength of her interpretation. She started singing fado as a teenager and quickly made a name for herself, winning the 9th edition of the "Amália Rodrigues" Fado Contest in 2023. Her participation in The Voice Portugal, where she won all the seats, gave her even greater visibility, confirming the authenticity and emotion she brings to the stage.   Theater: 'Auto das Anfitriãs', by Inês Vaz and Pedro Baptista, from Luís de Camões

Maria ii and the 'la Caixa' Foundation, in collaboration with the bpi November 21, 9:30 p.m.: For the general public (free if you pick up a ticket) One thousand five hundred and change. Camões wrote the "Auto chamado dos Enfatriões". Of the three plays he wrote, this was the only one to be inspired by a theater text from Roman times: the famous "Amphitryon" by Plautus. "Auto das Anfitriãs" is one of many derivations. A possibility ready to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Camões' birth, without knowing for sure whether or not it's the right date to do so... It's a play of doudos, full of confusions, which, given the anniversary, appears as a celebration, a concert and a fair of deceit, seeking to question some of the foundations of today and dancing to the sound of the zeitgeist of the 21st century. Performed by Cire Ndiaye, Inês Vaz, João Grosso and José Neves. Special participation by Tita Maravilha.

  Francisco Neves and Eduardo Faustino @ Mercearia 27

  Francisco Neves and Eduardo Faustino met in Lisbon during the music degree they both attended. Between classes, they began playing together weekly as a form of study and quickly developed a special musical chemistry, marked by a healthy rivalry. As soon as they finished the course, they started performing live in venues and concert halls, strengthening their partnership. Faustino | Neves is an intimate duo focused on performing traditional and modern jazz, combining two very distinct musical personalities where written and improvised music coexist organically. On Sunday, the 30th, we’ll have the pleasure of hearing them at Mercearia 27! Come and enjoy lunch with us from 1:00 p.m.!
