The Church of Our Lady of the Halls

⛪ The Church of Nossa Senhora das Salas in Sines will reopen next Monday, September 14, after two years of restoration and conservation work, in a project 100% funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). The reopening ceremony will take place at 3:00 p.m., and will be attended by the Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports, Margarida Balseiro Lopes; the Mayor of Sines, Álvaro Beijinha; and the President of the Public Institute for Cultural Heritage, João Soalheiro. Designated a National Monument since 1922, this important heritage site in Sines underwent restoration work that strengthened its preservation and deepened understanding of the historical, artistic, and cultural heritage associated with the monument. The total investment amounted to 450,000 euros, fully funded by the PRR. 📍 The church and the museum complex, where its treasures are on display, will be open to the public Wednesday through Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
