    Dark Matter

Cia is a photographer (ciajansen.com). Dominik is an artist (dominikjasinski.art). Together, they create a new atmosphere. "Materia Obscura" is the result of a combination, mutation and transformation of their individual works into a shared visual experience. In this exhibition, the dark and luminous colours of hidden landscapes enter into dialogue with the inner and outer worlds of the human body. Join us. Come and see, feel and listen to the acoustic environment created by paL (aka Pedro Almeida) especially for this experience. escolamontedaestrada.com

    Isabel, Artisan of Stories" exhibition

Isabel Silva is a craft artist who has lived in Odemira since 2010. She created the "Artesã d'Estórias" project where she fuses handicrafts, creative sewing, felted wool, paper pulp, weaving and other plastic expression techniques to create sets, props and characters. She has a small flock of sheep, is a member of CACO and the "Arco do Tempo" Association and has a YouTube channel - @artesadestorias - where she shares her creative processes. At the exhibition where she will be showing her work, Isabel Silva will be leading a Creative Workshop "Christmas Decorations" between 5pm and 6.30pm, for those who wish to register on site. Participants in this needle felting workshop will create Christmas decorations using the Needlefelting technique. Participation in the workshop requires a contribution of 5 euros and is open to adults and children. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants keep their pieces.

    A-More

The A-More exhibition brings together the work of three friends, linked by territory and by their love of the materials they each handle: ceramics, wood and painting. Rita Morais, a ceramicist and woman of seven trades, created the Oficina do Barro in Monte da Estrada and has been working around the potter's wheel for 40 years. Samuel Gonçalves (Gaio) works with cork and wood, and he prefers olive wood for his work. Hanneke, or Anna from Holland, self-taught and an artist for life, works with various materials, but here she will show us her paintings and drawings. Not to be missed! Free admission.

    Exhibition by Karola Schieferstein

The Monte da Estrada School Association is hosting the exhibition "The Art of What is Forgotten" by Karola Schieferstein. Karola creates works from objects that have lost their function. Sewing, painting and composition come together in an artistic language where upcycling reinvents form, color and texture. This is how art is born, opening our eyes to what is hidden. Join us!
