  Inês Silva – Fado Concert

  April 11 | Saturday | 9:30 p.m. | 60 min. | M6 Tickets: Free admission with advance ticket pickup at the António Chainho Municipal Auditorium, the Alvalade Archaeology Museum, or the Alvalade Parish Council Synopsis: Inês Silva, a native of Alvalade, Santiago do Cacém, was born on December 20, 1986. Music and singing have always been part of her life, ever since she was a child. Her love for fado emerged later, at age 20, largely due to the influence of family members who also sang it. She made her fado debut in her hometown, Alvalade, and has sung fado ever since. In 2012, she participated in RTP 1’s Grande Prémio do Fado, reaching the semifinals. She has performed abroad, in Switzerland, and regularly sings in restaurants, community gatherings, and private and public fado events.

  Mini-concert by the Orff Orchestra

  The Orff Orchestra Mini-Concert will take place on March 7, at 5:30 p.m., at the Alvalade Municipal Auditorium. The Orff Orchestra is a small musical ensemble inspired by the traditional classical orchestra. However, the musical instruments used here are different. Instead of traditional violins, we have a wide variety of xylophones with very distinct musical "colors" in terms of sound. From the highest to the lowest notes, we have an entire musical structure inspired by the composer Carl Orff. Bringing "classical" music to everyone from childhood. This format is presented annually with students from the Santiago do Cacém Municipal School of Music.

  Concert by the SRFUA Band

  SRFUA Band Concert On March 1, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., the SRFUA Band will take the stage at the Alvalade Municipal Auditorium. In its first performance at the Alvalade Municipal Auditorium, the SRFUA Band promises an afternoon of musical celebration.   Jornadas Corais José Augusto 2025 - Coral Harmonia

  The Choral Days are one of the annual initiatives promoted by the Harmonia Choir of Santiago do Cacém. They began in 2000 with the aim of implementing a new cycle dedicated to polyphonic choral music, positively reinforcing the cultural dynamics of our city and our municipality. This year they will be held on October 18 and 19 at the Cine Teatro Vitória - Artur de Sousa Pinto, in Ermidas-Sado, and at the Alvalade Municipal Auditorium, respectively. In 2014, the Jornadas were named after José Augusto, the founding chorister of Coral Harmonia, who represented exactly the spirit of these choral exchanges, thus honoring his legacy.
