    Performance Series “The Role of Music – Concerts Between Texts and Melodies” Concert with Manuela Azevedo & Hélder Gonçalves (Clã) Friday | July 17 | 10:00 p.m. | Library and Archives Courtyard free admission Manuela Azevedo & Hélder Gonçalves present in Grândola, “Music and Poetry,” a show in which they revisit themes from various poetic and musical worlds and, above all, from the world of Clã, a band formed in 1992 that has established itself as one of the most important references in Portuguese music, largely due to the originality of its artistic journey, based on the fusion of pop and rock sounds, and on the musical interpretation of texts of high literary quality, written by authors such as Carlos Tê, Regina Guimarães, Sérgio Godinho, Arnaldo Antunes, among others—which allowed the band to build a career in which the spoken word plays a central role. Don’t miss it! This is the third event in a concert series featuring a series of intimate duet performances that blend music and literature.     "The Role of Music" concert series Ana Deus & Luca Argel | Marco Oliveira & José Peixoto | Manuela Azevedo & Hélder Gonçalves | Noiserv & Mia Tomé The Municipality of Grândola is hosting the first edition of the “The Role of Music” Performance Series, an initiative that blends music and literature in a series of intimate duet concerts to be held in the courtyard of the Municipal Library and Archives. This Friday, June 19, at 10:00 p.m., Marco Oliveira and José Peixoto will present “Caminho é Quanto Fica da Viagem,” a performance that delves into maritime poetry and the lives of sailors. The title comes from the new album by Portuguese singer, songwriter, and guitarist Marco Oliveira, which blends the tradition of fado with other musical influences. This is the second in a series of shows featuring a collection of intimate duet concerts that blend music and literature.
