Spring Market at Monte do Paio 🌼🌿

On April 18, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, we invite you to visit our Market at Monte do Paio!

It will be a special day, open to the entire community, with activities designed for the whole family. Take the opportunity to explore our space, visit the exhibition at the Interpretive Center, have lunch with us, and discover local products at our market.

📍 Location: Monte do Paio, Village of Brescos – Santiago do Cacém

✨ Program:

🛍️ 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM - Market featuring local producers and artisans: honey, traditional cakes and sweets, Easter cakes, wood-fired bread, fruits, vegetables, jams, liqueurs, wines, and much more!

🌸 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM - Art, light, and flowers – Cyanotype workshop using plants from Monte do Paio, led by Ana Isa Figueira (CCDR Alentejo). Includes a short walk + creative activity 🎟️ Free participation (advance registration required) 👥 Maximum capacity: 10 participants

🌱 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM Closing of the fair with the release of a wild animal (by the Santo André Wildlife Recovery Center – CRASSA)

    "Equality in Your Hands" Walk

    As part of the celebration of Municipal Equality Day, the “Equality in Your Hands” walk will take place on October 25 at 9:00 a.m. in Vila Nova de Santo André (next to the carnation statue in Central Park). This initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of equality, inclusion, and respect for diversity, promoting a more just and inclusive community. Participation requires registration by October 16. Contact and registration locations: In person – Social Intervention and Health Service (Parque Verde da Quinta dos Chafariz, Santiago do Cacém), Santo André Parish Social Commission (Santo André Parish Council), and Social Commission of the Union of Parishes of Santiago do Cacém, Santa Cruz, and São Bartolomeu da Serra (Santiago do Cacém, Santa Cruz, and São Bartolomeu da Serra Branch Offices), or by calling 269829418.
