  "Equality in Your Hands" Walk

  As part of the celebration of Municipal Equality Day, the “Equality in Your Hands” walk will take place on October 25 at 9:00 a.m. in Vila Nova de Santo André (next to the carnation statue in Central Park). This initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of equality, inclusion, and respect for diversity, promoting a more just and inclusive community. Participation requires registration by October 16.   On October 17, at 4:00 p.m., at the Manuel da Fonseca Municipal Library in Santiago do Cacém, the award ceremony for the Manuel da Fonseca Short Story Prize —16th Edition—will be awarded to the work “A Building Where All Stories Fit,” written by Rita Coelho Teixeira Estanqueiro under the pseudonym Margarida Madruga. The Municipality of Santiago do Cacém has been organizing the Manuel da Fonseca Short Story Award since 1996.
