🎉 Odeceixe Folar and Pastry Fair – FULL PROGRAM!

From April 3 to 5, Odeceixe will host another edition of the Folar and Pastry Fair in Malhadais, next to the Elementary School.

Over three days, the event invites you to discover the best of local cuisine, music, and traditions, in an atmosphere designed for all ages.

🎤 Musical highlights featuring Footswitch, Moços do Mira, and D’Hora Avante, accompanied by entertainment throughout the venue

🎶 Dancing and roaming entertainment, as well as participation from local associations that bring life and identity to the event

🎠 For the little ones, there will be plenty of entertainment and activities, including face painting, balloon modeling, inflatable attractions, and the innovative and fun Folar Hunt

🍰 The fair also features an exhibition of regional products and handicrafts, with a special focus on the traditional Odeceixe Folar and various typical Algarve flavors

🌊 Partir o Folar à Praia is a popular Portuguese tradition associated with Easter celebrations and gatherings among family and friends. This year, the Municipality of Aljezur aims to revive and revitalize this tradition, inviting everyone to participate in a moment of sharing at Odeceixe Beach.

Thus, on Easter Sunday, April 5, we invite the entire community to join this celebration by the sea.

    LUSCO-FUSCO TUESDAYS On Tuesdays, the Nhama studio opens its doors here in Cadinho de Cima, Aljezur. Ricardo Marques, from Elfic Wood Works, and Tatiana Barreiros from Entre Mãos, come together to work with wood, natural fibres, mats, looms and other materials that happen to find their way into our hands. Since June, Nhama has been giving us a home, and now we want to fill that home with more hands. Starting this Tuesday, you are welcome to come and create with us. You don’t need to know how to make anything. Just bring your curiosity, your willingness to experiment, and some time to be. We’ll have tools, materials, techniques to share, and space for everyone to find their own way of making. This first afternoon, we’ll be exploring wood carving, mat-making and looms.     Homemade bread WORKSHOP Aljezur ** October 17 and 18 (one and a half days) A workshop that walks you through the whole process of bread-making, from scratch, explaining bith theory and practice. We will teach you how to make sourdough bread and also pão com chouriço (portuguese sausage bread). You will make your own bread and will take it home together with sourdough to start your own culture. The workshop will be held by Natalie Castro, founder of isco bakery, in Lisbon.
