From November 14 to 19, Odemira is hosting Doc's Kingdom - International Documentary Film Seminar! A week of films, debates and an exhibition, focusing on collective cinematographic practices and the political history of the Alentejo.

Under the title "A Collective Disjointed Harmony", the seminar will be attended by filmmakers and collectives from all over the world.

Doc's Kingdom 2025: Public sessions in Odemira

From November 14 to 19, Doc's Kingdom returns to Odemira for the third year running with a program dedicated to collaborative cinematographic practices, presenting the work of historical and contemporary collectives such as camp (India), Grupo Zero (Portugal), Mujeres Creando (Bolivia), Ogawa Productions (Japan), Sueli and Isael Maxakali with collaborators (Brazil), Video Tracts for Palestine (anonymous transnational project).

With free access to the general public, several rare films will be shown over five days, as well as an exhibition and two moments of festive conviviality, in addition to the modality of full participation reserved for registered people. Below is the program of public sessions.

In addition to physical postures—with options tailored to each individual’s needs—this practice places great emphasis on Pranayama and Kriyas (breathing exercises and techniques that combine repetitive movements with breathing and mantras). Some classes will be gentler and more meditative, while others will be more energetic, with opportunities for group activities and even dance. Each class is a unique experience.
