    “Invisible Library: Reading Mentorship Workshop”

“Invisible Library: Reading Mediation Workshop” – training with Bru Junça Thursday, May 28, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Target audience: Professionals working with children or the elderly, curious individuals, and anyone interested in words, others, and themselves. About the training: This workshop is an invitation to listen to the invisible, to look beyond the obvious, and to let go of the rush to find answers. It proposes a path of discovery, where the body is reactivated as an antenna sensitive to small things and the gaze is re-educated as one who unearths meanings. Between objects and memories, a space of passage is created to find “the reader” and explore readings of what exists “in between.” Here, the book is not a destination, but a bridge: between the visible and the hidden, between the word and affection, between the object and memory. Because all reading is a mirror, and sometimes what reflects back to us is not in the text, but in what surrounds it. ➡Registration required ☑ Limited to 12 participants For more information and to register, contact the Ourique Municipal Library at 286 510 408.

    “One Morning in April”

Ourique marks the 52nd anniversary of April 25 “This is the dawn I have been waiting for The first day, whole and pure Where we emerge from the night and the silence And, free, we inhabit the substance of time” The words of Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen remain a clear synthesis of the meaning of April—the passage from night to freedom, from voicelessness to participation, from uncertainty to building the future. In keeping with the principles of the Carnation Revolution and to mark the 52nd anniversary of April 25, the Municipality of Ourique is promoting, throughout the month, a series of cultural and commemorative initiatives, open to the community and geared toward different generations. 🖼️ April Exhibition “Rua Sem Lápis Azul” (Street Without a Blue Pencil), by Ana Tenente. Open to the public until the end of the month. Ourique Municipal Library 📅 April 18 | 9:30 p.m. Performance “Apenas Abril” — Inês Apenas presents a tribute to José Afonso. Featuring Bia Maria and the Ourique Choral Group. Sousa Telles Cinema-Theater 📅 April 21 | 2:30 p.m. Book presentation of “Não há Revoluções perfeitas” with author Helena Machado in attendance.
